Allo, Blog...
Without reading any news, I knew it's gonna be chaos in Jakarta. Floods, traffic, you name it. Jakarta totally paralyzed this morning. The moment I wrote this, drizzled rain came. Expecting heavy rain, folks! I don't want to comment about everything. I think lots of people already share their expressions about today. Even I live at rental room nearby the office, the crucial item in rain season a.k.a. umbrella, I lost it. So went to the office this morning very hard for me. Let me tell you why. First, when I woke up at 6 AM, the first thought that came to my mind was, "Do I have to take a bath?" So I took a bath, obviously. I need to wash my hair hehehe. Finished with my bath, I searched my closet for a work clothes. Another thought came to my mind, " Do I need to work?" A glance to Twitterverse, yeah lots of complaints. Traffic jam here, flood there, train stopped. So I thought the office will be a bit empty. Scratch that, waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too empty. After quick thinking, I decided to went to the office. Lots of students asked about lecturer's availability. Some of them trapped in a traffic jam. I have to inform them. Here I am now. In the office, waiting some classes to finish and just write my blog. Reminiscing this morning, yeah got a message from my students. Because 4 big train stations in Jakarta flooded, the train service stopped only to the farthest station they can reach. Some of them already stuck in traffic for hours, they decided to go back home. The class running slow today. The survivors, my own calling for my colleagues, not more than 40 people from total of 100's people. Then email from headquarters in Sudirman that today we were allowed to work half-day. Now there's not more than 20 people in this building. We're not talking about the students. I took my hat off to the survivor students. I know they gone through hell just to come to the campus. Appreciate their efforts. I also pray for my students who couldn't make it to the campus. I hope they're safe at home right now. For people who affected with flood today, I sincerely pray for you. Hopefully all of us can went through this day without any incidents. Be strong!
