I know it's early, but I can't wait to look back to how good this year to me. Some sort of self reflect hehehe. Beside, people said to be grateful. Well, I am. For the good and bad times in 2011. After all, those things that made me grow everyday.
Reflect in the bad times,,, I dealt with lost. I have to say goodbye to some of my co-worker in SSB and PSF. They finally "graduated". I even have to attend the farewell party on my birthday!!! Really sad about it, but I know they got the opportunity to improve themselves. The knowledge they got will help them to gain many valuable experiences. I also have to say goodbye to someone I care. Although I'm still friends with him, but our relationship isn't the same anymore. We still chat, but that's just it. So sad, indeed. But come to think of it,,, I'm glad I took the decision. Never regret it, not once.
Reflect in good times,,, a lot!!! Lots of things happening this year. I lost count (and you shouldn't count your blessings, though) of the good things happened this year. One thing for sure, very grateful with my families and friends. We did a lot of good things together and created great memories hehehe.
I want to highlight my biggest excitement of the year,,, DUTY TRIP!!! As part of my job as Admission Officer, we will have a recruitment test in several cities in Indonesia. I have to say that I'm totally happy that I can board the airplanes hehehe. But what excites me most,,, I can go to several cities and watched potential students with bright minds and high dreams tried their best to continue their education. I even did some tests in some cities I always dream of, like Padang and Bukittinggi. My grandmother came from Bukittinggi. As her grandchild, I never once came there, although my relatives asked me to stop by everytime they visit us in Cikarang. It's like going home in Bukittinggi. If not because of duty trip, I don't know how many years I took before I finally set my foot there hehehe.
Lose some, get some. I have to say goodbye to some friends (although they just move to their new office), but I also have some friends. Thank you for Super Junior fandom, ELF. Got an obsession with that particular Korean boyband, I've met some friends in some events. Such as, KIMCHI Concert back in June 2011. I joined thousands of fans who didn't get a ticket (quite expensive even for me) outside Istora Senayan. Met new friends and happily screamed when the SuJu cars passed in front of us. I also made friends during Hangeng's visit to Jakarta. Met some GengFans who also an ELF, and since I'm older, they called me "Unnie" (means big sister in Korean). Yeah, I made friends because of fandom hehehe.
This year has been good to me. Hopefully, 2012 will be exciting as well. Can't wait for the new year to come!!!
It's insane. For 6 years I became UI students but never once I attended Jazz Goes To Campus Festival (JGTC). Ever. Until this year. The reason??? Back then I just want to spent my weekend at home. Not to mention that I don't have passion to watch music concert that much, like now.
This year, I have no intention to watch JGTC. But, when they announced that Nouvelle Vague will perform, suddenly I wanted to go. I only knew their song "Too Drunk To F**k". But that's enough for me. So I bought JGTC ticket from my SSB student. I got the pre-sale 2 price.
Not only me, but my SSB colleagues wanted to come too. So we promised to meet each other. But then we realized that we wanted to watch different performances. I wanted to watch Andre Harihandoyo & The Sonicpeople at 4PM. While other wanted to watch Glenn Fredly, which was on 10 PM. So I came earlier than the others. I also wanted to save seats for Nouvelle Vague.
It's been a month since that event. I haven't contacted him, Mr. Bear, since that day, even though he still text me, just to say hi and ask how I'm doing. Never replied it even once, too afraid to do that.
But his latest text made me replied to his message. He said, on 3/12 he will go to Papua for his next placement. Just 2 months. He asked me to accompany him shopping for his supplies. I asked him in which part of Papua. His answer made me shocked. He will go to Timika, to Freeport area. I asked him again was he aware of the latest event regarding Freeport. He said he knew and still he wants to go. So I said okay to accompany him.
Last night we met and shop for his supplies. It's the first time we've met. Kinda miss those time, when we still hang out together. After shopping, we went to dinner. Catch up with each other news. No awkward moment like I imagined before. We talked like old friends.
Last thing, he drop me off in Pancoran. Before he left, he asked me to come to airport, send him off to Papua, and I said yes. Then he asked again, "Can we go back like we used to? As a friend?"
I didn't replied, just look to his eyes. "See you Saturday!" that's all I can say before we departed. But his question still in my head. I want to go back either, but I'm still afraid. So we'll see about it in the next days,,,
