My last post was back in July, on my birthday. Almost 3 months I didn't update this blog. What can I say in the past 3 months??? A LOT!
Well the admission process for 2011 intake is over. Finally we have 84 new students for 2011. After long and tiring process of admission, it's finally done!!! On 5 September, we started the English Matriculation program for new intake. This program is to make them familiar with English environment in SSB. This program last until 9 September 2011. I happened to asked some students about matriculation program. Here's what they said:
Lots of answer came up. But the majority is the answers above. Exciting, scared, but they got support from lecturers. The college world is something new to them and they can't wait for the adventure. To help the transition from high school to college life, we held an orientation on 12-16 September 2011. The whole 5 days, the students have packed schedule with games and sessions. As part of committee, I helped Mbak Ketty supervised the orientation. Apparently, their high school nature still come up. Still noisy, late from the first until last day, and it's gonna be a long post just to list down their faults. The student committee even gave up with their attitudes. So they asked SSB staffs, including me, to gave them some 'session' on the last day. As usual, session with me meant "Stepmother Session". When it comes to "stepmother session", the senior students already knew how the session will run. But for new students, it's their very first time and maybe I gave them a great shock. In that session, I literally explode and list down their mistake and violations of rules we agreed before orientation. Judging by the look at their face, they completely shocked hehehe. Yes, Stepmother strike again! By the end of orientation, we held an inauguration to officially welcomed new students of SSB. Hopefully they can do well during their 4-years of college. Gain new knowledge, make friends, and above all,,, become a successful person with
